# JFK Stowaway's Plea and Detention

**Svetlana Dali**, accused of sneaking onto a Delta flight from JFK to Paris last Thanksgiving, pleaded not guilty to federal stowaway charges.  She was immediately ordered held without bail.

Dali was initially released on bail but re-arrested after removing her GPS tracker and attempting to cross into Canada.  She's currently detained at the Brooklyn Detention Center, alongside other high-profile inmates.

## Plea Deal in the Works

Prosecutors and Dali's lawyer are working on a plea deal to avoid a trial.  A mental health evaluation for Dali is also being pursued.

An MTA bus had a dramatic near-miss on Friday morning in the Bronx.  The BxM1 bus crashed into a guardrail on the Henry Hudson Parkway West, over Kappock Street, leaving its front end and at least one wheel dangling precariously over the edge of an overpass near Independence Avenue in Riverdale.

**Thankfully, there were no passengers on board**, and the **driver escaped without injury**.  Debris from the impact scattered onto Kappock Street below.  Authorities interviewed the driver at the scene, and emergency crews are working to secure the bus using a heavy-duty cable to pull it back to safety.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. local time, causing a brief disruption to traffic in the area.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.

An MTA bus had a terrifying near-miss on Friday morning in Riverdale, Bronx.  The bus crashed into a guardrail on the Henry Hudson Parkway West, causing the front end and at least one wheel to hang precariously over the edge of an overpass above Kappock Street near Independence Avenue.

**Thankfully**, neither the driver nor any passengers were on board at the time of the accident.  Authorities spoke with the driver at the scene, confirming no injuries.  Debris from the crash littered Kappock Street below.
