NYC Shows Support for California Wildfire Victims

Pickle, a women's clothing rental company, opened its doors for donations of clothing and other essentials to aid wildfire victims in Los Angeles. The response was overwhelming, with lines stretching around the block.
Founder Julia O'Mara stated that their aim was to help rebuild wardrobes for those affected, noting the challenge of "building the plane and flying it at the same time." Donors shared similar sentiments, highlighting a desire to provide crucial support to those who'd lost everything.
Bushwick & Lower East Side Collection Efforts
In Bushwick, hundreds of boxes filled with donations were prepared for shipment to California. Meanwhile, Kate Moskowitz and Rachel Joelson organized a rapid collection drive across several locations, emphasizing long-term support beyond the initial outpouring of aid. Joelson, originally from LA, expressed the personal significance of helping her hometown recover.
