NYC Weekend Freeze Gives Way to a Snowy Monday: First Alert!
This weekend will be quiet but cold in New York City, setting the stage for a significant weather event. Wind advisories have mostly expired, but windy conditions will persist.
Friday's Light Snow
Friday will start sunny before turning cloudy in the afternoon, with highs in the upper 30s. Light snow will arrive in the evening, mainly impacting areas south of NYC. Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties could see up to two inches of accumulation.
Monday's Accumulating Snow
A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Monday. Accumulating snow is expected to arrive in the early morning hours. Most of the city will see snow, with the heaviest accumulation (up to 6 inches) predicted for Monmouth and Ocean counties. Other areas could see 1–3 inches.
