New Orleans Attack: ISIS Flag and Deadly Rampage

The New Orleans attack involved 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a US citizen who had served in the Army and later lived in Texas. He drove a pickup truck into a crowd of New Year's Eve revelers on Bourbon Street, resulting in numerous casualties. Jabbar, who was carrying an ISIS flag, was killed in a shootout with police. The FBI recovered weapons and IEDs from the scene.

Aftermath and Investigation

The FBI is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism. The agency is also seeking witnesses who may have seen suspicious coolers containing IEDs near the attack site. Jabbar's prior military service and his ISIS affiliation are central to the ongoing investigation.

The New Orleans Musicians for Palestine group is planning a "Procession for Palestine" on January 6th, further highlighting the ongoing tensions and the complex aftermath of this tragic event.
