Amtrak Service Suspended Between NYC and Philadelphia

Amtrak service on the New York Penn Station to Philadelphia line has been temporarily suspended due to downed overhead wires. Repair crews are currently working to restore service.

The initial estimated time of resumption was 10 AM on Sunday, but has since been pushed back to noon.

Amtrak has stated that passengers with reservations on affected trains will be accommodated on similar trains or on another day. They are waiving additional charges for those who wish to change their reservations by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.

This disruption comes during one of the busiest travel days of the year, impacting holiday travelers.
