The FDNY responded swiftly, bringing the fire under control within about 30 minutes. Bryant Park officials expressed gratitude for the rapid response. The Rink and The Lodge have reopened, and most of the market's 170 shops are back in business. Any remaining unaffected shops are expected to reopen later today.

Fire officials arrived on the scene around 9:30 am. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the fire marshal.
Second Holiday Market Fire
This incident marks the second holiday market fire in NYC this winter season. Earlier this month, a fire at the Herald Square market, attributed to faulty electrical wiring, damaged 18 booths.
