Macy's CEO Tony Spring stated that while closing stores is difficult, this move allows them to reinvest in more successful locations and improve offerings for customers.
This announcement follows an earlier report that Macy's planned to close 150 stores by 2026. The company also plans to upgrade existing stores to enhance the customer experience.
