NYC Mulchfest 2025: Recycle Your Christmas Tree and Get Free Mulch!

New York City's annual Mulchfest is back! This year, from December 26th to January 12th, you can recycle your Christmas tree and help make NYC greener.

Chipping Weekend: For a free bag of mulch, head to a designated chipping site on Saturday, January 11th and Sunday, January 12th.

Drop-off Locations: Trees can also be dropped off at various locations throughout all five boroughs during park hours between December 26th and January 12th.
