For over 30 years, Trautwig was a familiar voice to New York sports fans, covering the Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers for MSG Network. He was known for his captivating pre- and post-game coverage, bringing a unique energy to games at Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium.
Beyond his New York career, Trautwig's impressive resume included covering 16 Olympic Games and serving as the main play-by-play announcer for international gymnastics events. He also worked for NBC, ABC, and CBS, covering events like the Indianapolis 500 and the Tour de France. His contributions to sports broadcasting earned him four national Emmy Awards and over 30 New York Emmys.
