NYC Stabbing Spree: Two Dead, One Critically Injured
A 51-year-old man has been arrested for a series of unprovoked stabbings in Manhattan that left two men dead and a woman critically injured. The attacks occurred on Monday morning at three separate locations across the city.
The Attacks
- 8:20 AM: A 36-year-old man was fatally stabbed at a construction site on West 19th Street.
- Around 10:20 AM: A 68-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and killed on East 30th Street.
- Shortly before 11:00 AM: A woman was stabbed on 42nd Street and First Avenue and is currently in critical condition.
Police recovered two bloody kitchen knives at the scene. The suspect, who resided at the Bellevue men’s shelter, appeared to select victims at random. NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated that the suspect simply walked up to the victims and attacked them.

The suspect was apprehended near 46th Street and First Avenue and is currently in police custody.
