NYC to Delhi Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Rome
An American Airlines flight from New York City to New Delhi was diverted to Rome on Sunday due to a security concern. The flight, AA292, carrying 199 passengers and 15 crew members, was escorted by two Italian fighter jets upon arrival at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO).

While over the Caspian Sea, the captain alerted passengers to a change in "security status," prompting concern among passengers. American Airlines later confirmed a security concern but stated it was deemed "non-credible" after inspection by law enforcement in Rome. The aircraft was cleared to depart for Delhi on Monday.
