# NYC Year-Round Outdoor Dining: Boon or Bane?

This is echoed by restaurant owner **Ali Sahim** of C&B Cafe, who states that outdoor dining allows him to "actually afford to pay [his] rent."

However, the city council previously scaled back the year-round option due to quality-of-life concerns associated with the outdoor dining sheds.  Despite this, **NYC Comptroller Brad Lander** emphasizes the economic benefits, stating that year-round outdoor dining could lead to "more jobs in the city and more economic vitality."

# Escaped Psych Patient Recaptured in NY

**A dangerous mental patient who identified himself as the "King and Queen of Ireland" was apprehended after a dramatic escape from an Orange County hospital.**

**Christopher Morgan**, 40, fled Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown on his birthday.  He allegedly assaulted a 74-year-old hospital worker, stealing her badge during his escape.  Police warned the public not to approach him.

He was arraigned and held on $250,000 bail.
