Where to Watch the Balloon Inflation

The free event takes place in Central Park West, outside the American Museum of Natural History (between West 77th and 81st streets). Spectators can catch the action from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (line opens at 12 p.m.). Entrance is via West 77th Street and Columbus Avenue.

Road Closures

New Balloons for 2024

This year's parade boasts six brand new giant balloons:

  • Minnie Mouse (Disney)
  • Extraordinary Noorah & Elf on the Shelf
  • Gabby ("Gabby's Dollhouse")
  • Goku ("Dragon Ball")
  • Marshall ("PAW Patrol")
  • Spider-Man (returning after a long hiatus!)

They'll join classic favorites like the Pillsbury Doughboy and Ronald McDonald!

Weather Forecast

A winter storm is expected, bringing rain, wind, and even snow to some areas. While Thanksgiving Day will be rainy and breezy, the wind shouldn't significantly impact the parade.
