# Harvey Weinstein Back in Bellevue Hospital

Harvey Weinstein has returned to Bellevue Hospital in New York City for emergency treatment.  His lawyer, Imran Ansari, stated the hospitalization is due to an "alarming blood test result that requires immediate medical attention."  Weinstein is expected to remain at Bellevue until his condition stabilizes.

**Weinstein's Legal Troubles and Health Issues:**

The disgraced film producer is currently awaiting a new trial on sexual assault charges while incarcerated at Rikers Island.  His lawyer claims he has been receiving inadequate medical care and enduring inhumane conditions.  Weinstein's spokesperson called the treatment "cruel and unusual punishment."  He is suing New York City and its Department of Correction for negligence.

Weinstein has previously been hospitalized at Bellevue for emergency heart surgery and for treatment of COVID-19 and double pneumonia.

# NYC Stowaway's Parisian Adventure Ends in Chaos

A 57-year-old woman, identified as Svetlana Dali, managed to board a Delta flight from JFK Airport to Paris **without a ticket or boarding pass**.  She evaded detection by moving between airplane bathrooms, avoiding taking a seat.  Fellow passengers eventually alerted flight attendants.

Upon arrival in Paris, French authorities detained Dali as she lacked a visa.  While initially placed on a return flight to the US, her behavior became **unruly**, leading French authorities to remove her from the plane.  She remains in France pending further investigation.

**The TSA, FBI, and Delta are investigating the incident.** The TSA is particularly reviewing its procedures at JFK's travel document checker station.  Delta emphasized its commitment to safety and security, stating that an exhaustive investigation is underway.

The impact was widespread, affecting the Northeast Corridor and the North Jersey Coast Line north of Long Branch.  Trains heading to Penn Station were rerouted to Hoboken Terminal.

While service resumed around 10:30 a.m., Amtrak warned passengers to expect delays of up to an hour.  The cause of the power line failure is still under investigation, but this incident highlights persistent issues with aging infrastructure.  Amtrak's aging infrastructure and NJ Transit’s aging rolling stock have resulted in frequent service disruptions throughout the year, often due to failures in signaling and traction power systems.  These issues are particularly concerning, as previous incidents this year included a significant outage in May and several others throughout the summer.

In June, Amtrak and NJ Transit announced increased inspections to improve reliability.  However, problems persist, including a September incident where a substation failure stranded multiple trains.  The ongoing challenges underscore the urgent need for investment in infrastructure upgrades.

Following earlier failures, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy described the situation as an "unmitigated disaster," pushing for increased federal investment in the aging infrastructure.  These repeated issues continue to disrupt the commutes of thousands of passengers.

# Monster Lake-Effect Snowstorm Pummels New York

A historic lake-effect snowstorm slammed New York, leaving behind 3-5 feet of snow in some areas and causing widespread travel chaos during the busy post-Thanksgiving travel period.  This is the season's first major lake-effect snow event, and snowfall totals have been truly epic.

The hardest-hit areas were cities and towns downwind of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, stretching from northwestern Pennsylvania into western and northern New York.  Snowfall rates reached an astonishing 4 inches per hour, overwhelming snow removal efforts.  Interstate 90, a major highway, was temporarily closed due to the dangerous conditions.

The sheer volume of snow and intense snowfall rates caused widespread disruption.  **FOX Weather** Storm Tracker Brandon Copic described the situation as "chaos," with vehicles struggling and becoming stranded, particularly on Route 5 near the Pennsylvania-New York border.

Despite the challenges, the Department of Transportation worked tirelessly, reopening I-90 to passenger vehicles on Saturday and fully reopening it by Monday morning.  However, travel remains treacherous in many areas.

Winter weather alerts remain in effect across the region, with Lake-Effect Snow Warnings extending at least into Tuesday.  The **FOX Forecast Center** anticipates additional snow, potentially another foot or more in some areas, and warns of dangerous travel conditions on major highways, including I-90, I-86, and I-79.  The intense snow bands off Lake Ontario have weakened, but concerns remain for I-90 between Rochester and Syracuse. Communities near Lake Superior and Lake Michigan also face heavy snow and near-whiteout conditions.

These peculiar vehicles, with their distinctive angular design, quickly became a source of both fascination and frustration.

## The Love-Hate Relationship with the Cybertruck

The Cybertruck's imposing presence and association with a certain affluent demographic fueled a simmering tension between drivers and non-drivers.  Social media was flooded with images of Cybertrucks illegally parked, sparking debates about privilege and urban space.  One particularly infamous incident involved a Cybertruck illegally parked in a bike lane with a fake chaplain's placard, accumulating 31 violations.
