Turkish Airlines Pilot Dies Mid-Flight, Forcing Emergency Landing in NYC
A Turkish Airlines pilot tragically passed away after collapsing mid-flight, forcing the airline to make an emergency landing in New York.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening after the plane, an Airbus 350, departed from Seattle on its way to Istanbul. The pilot, who had been with Turkish Airlines since 2007, collapsed during the flight despite a recent medical examination in March showing no health concerns.
The flight crew, including another pilot and a co-pilot, attempted to give first aid, but unfortunately, the pilot died before the plane landed in New York.
The airline confirmed the pilot's passing, expressing their condolences to his family, colleagues, and loved ones. The incident is currently under investigation.
