The 50-year-old Thompson arrived early for a company conference around 6:46 a.m. when a masked man allegedly approached and fired multiple shots, striking him in the chest. The suspect, described as a white male wearing a cream-colored jacket, black face mask, and black and white sneakers, fled the scene on a bicycle through Ziegfeld alleyway.
Thompson was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital but was later pronounced dead. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
