Amtrak Train Derailment at Penn Station Causes Delays

An Amtrak train derailed at Penn Station on Wednesday afternoon, causing delays for commuters. According to Amtrak, one set of wheels on Train 133 derailed while departing the station at 2 p.m. Passengers were able to safely depart the train, and Amtrak is working to remove the derailed equipment.

Amtrak is providing alternative transportation for passengers, and delays are expected to last 20-30 minutes. NJ Transit is also experiencing delays of 30 minutes in and out of Penn Station. However, LIRR and subway service have not been affected.
