The victim told police that the panhandler, dressed in all black, attacked him with a knife near Westchester and Castle Hill Aves. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.
The attacker fled west on Westchester Ave. and has not been caught. Police are investigating the incident.
