Bronx MTA Bus Miraculously Hangs Off Overpass
An MTA bus was precariously hanging off an overpass near the Henry Hudson Parkway in the Bronx on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. near Kappock Street in the Spuyten Duyvil section.
Debris was seen on the roadway below the overpass, a service road adjacent to the parkway. Dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.
According to witnesses, the bus driver was attempting a turn, possibly struggling to avoid a parked car, when they lost control and crashed into the guardrail. The driver was the only person on board and was unharmed.
The incident caused significant disruption. Videos from Citizen App showed the front of the bus dangling over the edge.
This incident highlights concerns about driver safety and infrastructure conditions in the area. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
